A fighter raised by the streets—a demon in the ring…
Avery
I was a player—a cold-hearted bastard who lives for a good fight. A hard f*** after every fight, a different girl every night—until Rose came into my life.
She was like no-one else I’ve ever met, with a need that only I could satisfy.
So I did what I’ve always done.
I made her fall into my arms.
I made her fall on her knees.
And when I’m finished, I’m going to leave her begging for more.
.
Rose
Everything in my life fell apart the day my mother died… and then I met Avery. He cornered me, stripped away my secrets, and brought me to my knees.
Ever since then, I couldn’t get away.
He’s a monster.
A monster who came from the gutters.
A monster who clawed his way to the top with nothing but his fists and a bad attitude.
So why can’t I stop wanting him?
This is a full length standalone romance with no cliffhangers and a guaranteed HEA ending

I'm giving this review a 3.5 star simply because the writing was a bit all over, I never knew from paragraph to paragraph who was speaking until half way through he paragraph, also everything went way too fast, the writer has potential but as of right now I feel as if I was reading a rough draft, the story was just a little bit interesting yet it took me a couple days to get through it just so I didn't have to have another DNF on my shelf, I also couldn't really connect with the characters or see things in the book.. Happy reading :)Product details

Break Me Alpha MMA Fighter edition by Kathryn Thomas Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
The romance was sweet and really helped alleviate the darkness looming over Rose's story. While the book was written in two POV, it is definitely Rose's story. She was strong, determined, and not afraid of getting hurt. Great character.
Avery was great in his own right but he felt like the piece of life that had been missing from Rose. Solid, dependable, and a total rogue at heart.
Their romance had a lot of sweet moments and plenty of spice too. It's a bit slower paced but I thought it worked well.
The story was very entertaining. It grabbed me and held my attention throughout. It makes for a pretty quick read if you're a fast reader and it's largely free of grammatical errors.
The characters were well developed. I really liked Rose, her refusal to back down and sheer stubborness was made her really adorable for me.
I thought the formatting could have used some help. There is a lot of POV switches and some of them could have definitely bee rewritten or rearranged.
I love bad boy romances and Break Me did a really good job hitting all the things I look for. Avery has a take-no-bs attitude that immediately clashes with Rose's secrecy. The two of them start out not really acknowledging the obvious attraction and that builds very nicely as the rest of the story goes.
The plot itself is pretty dark and Rose's family life is absolutely heartbreaking to read. I loved how well Kathyn Thomas kept everything together all the way until the end. Great book.
The book was enjoyable because of the exciting story. Rose comes from a very dark background and her indomitable spirit is really inspiring to read. There were a number of other subplots that happened beneath Rose's story with Avery and I thought they were really fleshed out despite being on the periphery. It really made the whole book come to life in a different way.
On the romance side, I liked that there wasn't the whole insta romance between Rose and Avery. Both of them are suspicious of each other at first and it takes a while before they fully start trusting each other. The ending is very much worth the journey.
The biggest complaint I have is that POV switches happen way too often. this makes the story feel rushed and even though it does a good job at building tension at times, it can also distract a reader.
Overall, I'd rate this book 3.5 stars
Break Me is about Rose, a girl who has just escaped her abusive stepfather and on a mission to save her sister from the same man. She meets Avery when she goes under disguise to train.
Avery has his own dark demons to handle without Rose poking her head where it don't belong.
The story was dramatic and very tense. I definitely got a good feel for the danger that Rose gets herself in and as the plot started spiraling out of control, it was great to see how Avery was able to turn things around and help Rose.
The book was pretty steamy and I enjoyed reading it very much. Thank you.
Break Me was a really good book. Rose is training in secret to protect herself and her sister from heer stepfather. Avery, the owner and champion fighter, is able to see right through her disguise.
The story goes through a pretty crazy plot and what really amazes me is how well Ms. Thomas keeps it all together. There were several subplots that came in and out of the main plot and they didn't feel like they were tacked on at the last second.
The romance was great. Avery and Rose had a lot of chemistry and it felt very natural and not forced. Sex was hot and well written. It was a pretty steamy book overall.
*I received an ARC for an honest review*
The story was complex and well handled. Kthryn Thomas did a great job at making a story that was multilayered with several intertwined suplots happening all at once. The story didn't lose a beat and I could keep track of everything that was happening.
I thought the action was really well doe. The fights are gritty and raw. It made me feel like I was there. Avery and Rose have a love that is built on a solid foundation and I love how strong Rose is, given her circumstances with her stepfater and sister.
The romance is slower than you'd normally expect but the buildup is nice and the ending is satisfying. I liked the mysterious aloofness of Avery.
Dual POV
HEA ending.
